Wet ride with Deer!
I woke up early for the 5:00AM ride. We gathered at WFBS before the rollout with clouds bearing down on us from the West. We made it to Good Hope Rd. before the rain started. The pace was fast but not impossible, I needed to be home by 6:30 so it was a race against [...] -
It’s a wrap!
This was my first year riding the Bone Ride and I could not have chosen a better year to test my fitness becaues the weather was perfect. The ride out to Madison was fast which was helped by the tailwind. We were flying and the groups were very organized except for the occasional surges. I felt [...] -
It’s a go
Tomorrow I will be riding in the 23rd annual Bone Ride from Milwaukee to Madison…and back 158 miles round trip. Should be a fun test of my fitness or a miserable failure but I am very excited to find out. -
Up before the sun!
I Never thought I could actually get out of bed, gather my gear and start riding before the sun cracked the horizon, but I finally made the commitment and I’m glad I did. I was the first person to arrive at the meeting point and within a few minutes there were about 15 others. Some [...] -

Road Rage Ride
Life is frustrating at times, events beyond our control have significant impact on our sanity. Anyone that rides in the afternoon, at a scheduled time and works for a living, will tell you that you need to begin your day with the end in mind. Meaning that everything you do throughout that day has to [...] -
Thursday Night
In cycling there is not worse feeling than getting dropped on a group ride other than perhaps getting dropped twice! I am not sure what the deal is but my chest hurts after a hard effort and my breathing feels constricted. Hopefully more riding will help! Nice ride last night that pace was ferocious at [...] -
Tour de Cure
Possibly the only Number 1 tag that I will ever have in my possession, but unfortunately it wasn’t earned. It did, however, represent the Team’s participation and effort during the Milwaukee stage of the 2009 Tour de Cure. It was a great ride with a serious wind that unfortunately was almost always working against us. [...] -
WARM – updated with even more injuries!
Warm weather riding is very nice. Our route was set for Port Washington the temperature was above 80 and there was very little wind. It almost seemed surreal to ride in Milwaukee in this kind of weather. Of course there was the usual drama, riders dropping, flat tire and car/bike collisions (fortunately it wasn’t someone [...] -
